Beach

Mom and dad bought the cottage in 1969 but it had been in the family for decades (see the timeline) and I had grown up playing on the beach. My god parents owned the next property over and we would visit for the day a couple of times a year. Mom and dad also rented down the lake and I had grown up with summers meaning special times on Lake Erie. The cottage and property evolved over the years and this section attempts to capture some of that process. What struck me over and over as I put this story together was the wealth of help we had from friends and family over so many years.
